As everyone knows at the moment there is a lot things going on because of the COVID-19 virus. Little by little it is getting closer and closer for all of us. What at first seemed to be a far-from-our-bed-show, now really touches all of us.
Each country, and sometimes even each region, takes new measures and draws up new rules in order to prevent dissemination. Here in Germany, too, new measures were taken and rules tightened up yesterday evening. As far as the recreation sector is concerned, the following has been brought out:
“According to the agreement between the Federal Government and the heads of government of the federal states in view of the corona epidemic in Germany on 16 March 2020, regulations are to be issued to the effect that overnight accommodation offers in Germany can only be used for necessary and expressly not for tourism purposes. Furthermore it is said: “Meetings in leisure facilities are to be prohibited […].
Therefore, regulations will be issued, unless this has already been done before the agreement, which prohibit the tourist use of campsites and hotels. ”
What does this mean for us? For our guests?
The above means that all German campsites, hotels and other tourist accommodation companies will have to close their doors for the time being. These rules apply until 17 April 2020.
Unfortunately, this means that we as a campsite will also have to close our gates for the time being. In any case until 17 April 2020 the campsite as well as the catering industry will remain closed. What will it look like after that? We don’t know how things will continue and will keep you informed of any developments.
Already booked; Now what?
The above measure ensures that reservations can not take place until 17 April. We will contact each of you personally regarding the cancellation. For reservations with arrival after 17 April; at this moment there is no reason for cancellation. Should this occur we will of course inform you as soon as possible.
that our, of all of us, health comes first.
The choices made and measures taken are incomprehensible to some, but with the right intentions for all of us. We will have to wait and see what impact this will have for everyone, but especially for the small entrepreneurs.
We hope that soon there will be more grip on this situation and look forward to a reopening of the camping season, to enjoy nature and freedom with you all in good health on our campsite.
In the meantime we will only enjoy nature, the sun and the fresh air around us. A strange sensation as we’ve been looking forward to the winter again to the cosy camping life. The grass has been mowed, the sanitary facilities are clean and the freezers and refrigerators have been filled… but for now we, and they, have to do without our guests for a while. Let’s hope that we will be able to share this beautiful place with all of you again!
We will keep you posted on our Facebook page…
If you have any questions, you can reach us by mail or phone.
Take good care of each other and observe the measures. Help each other where possible. So that we can welcome you all back to our campsite at a later time!
